Leslie Davis, the company founder of TrueTalent has over 25 years of dance experience and 18 years of choreography experience. Leslie started dancing at the young age of five years old, as she attended a dance school in Bastrop, Louisiana. After moving to Atlanta, GA, Leslie later joined the Norma’s Academy of Dance and Total Dance Theater at seven years old and performed with both companies until she was eighteen.
Ms. Davis attended Tri Cities Performing Arts School in Atlanta, GA where her love for dance was perpetuated through her participation in the Dance Magnet Performing Arts center where she danced for four years. It was through these educational experiences that Leslie realized her calling to one day become an acclaimed dancer and choreographer.
After graduating from high school, Leslie attended Morris Brown College. Upon her matriculation, Leslie joined the dance group Exctasy, which was the school’s basketball dance team. Leslie later became the choreographer of Exctasy and composed the group’s routines for four years.
During and after college, Leslie performed and choreographed for several major acts such as Outkast, Usher, Jagged Edge, Kilo, Lathum, Alliance and 8 Ball and MJG. Leslie is also noted for her video choreography in two of DJ Unk’s songs Walk it Out and Two Step, as well as her lyrical choreography for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Christmas performance. She has taught all over the city of Atlanta since college and now gets great pleasure in helping our young people grow and mature into the success they were born to be.
